In STEAM class, our 6th graders have been busy designing, building, and play-testing their very own board games. This hands-on project combined creativity with critical thinking as students worked through the entire design process, including brainstorming concepts, creating prototypes, refining rules, and improving their games based on peer feedback.
Along the way, students practiced math and logic through scoring systems, applied engineering principles with iteration and redesign, and showcased artistic skills in the visual elements of their games, with one group even 3D printing their own game pieces and dice. Collaboration and communication were key as classmates tested each other’s ideas and offered suggestions.
The project not only ended with a fun game day but also highlighted how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math naturally connect in real-world problem solving.

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe! Get your tickets early!

Students in Mrs. Avers class celebrated reaching their positive behavior goal with a stuffed animal day on Friday. The students (and stuffies) had fun learning and dancing to the verb rap together!

Each month the first graders enjoy a visit from Miss Holly from the Genoa branch library. They love the books she shares and the dance breaks are a lot of fun too!
Kindergarteners in Mrs. Mullen’s class are having a blast! They are engaged with their friends in hands on activities, all while explore new ideas. Every child feels valued, and special in Mrs. Mullen's classroom.

In Mrs. Britt's Kindergarten Class, we’ve been busy with a variety of exciting activities that even the crayons are talking about! We had the pleasure of being entertained by Mrs. Waddell and Mrs. Davis, who read us stories that made us giggle and think. We also dove into the world of Math manipulatives—who knew counting could be so much fun? And let's not overlook the engaging lesson from our guidance counselor, Mrs. Berger, who cleverly used Mrs. Potato Head to illustrate her role. It’s safe to say we’re having a fantastic time—who knew learning could be this much fun?
