Whether they’re completing a LOOP activity in the library, working through a matching activity in class, or creating pixel art on their Chromebooks, students receive instant feedback to see if their answers are correct. These activities allow students to work independently or in small groups, encouraging collaboration, reflection, and deeper understanding.
It’s just one more way our math classrooms keep learning interactive, supportive, and student-centered!

Genoa Transportation Alert: Due to a staffing shortage, there will be no am or pm Elementary, Middle or High School bus 20 tomorrow, February 12. Thank you.
Our bus drivers go above and beyond each day to ensure our precious cargo arrives safely to school and back home. Every single day, rain or shine! Their dedication, care, and commitment do not go unnoticed.
Comet families: please take a moment this week to say thank you to your bus driver for all they do to support our comet community.

Instead of ships on a grid, students are placing linear graphs as their “ships.” To score a hit (and eventually sink a ship!), classmates must guess the equation that matches each graph. As the game goes on, students use what they’ve learned about slope-intercept form to make smarter guesses and refine their thinking.
This hands-on activity turns problem-solving, strategy, and collaboration into an engaging learning experience, and proves that math really can be a game changer!

HAPPY COUNSELORS WEEK!! This week, we are celebrating our amazing school counselors and the incredible impact they have on our students every single day. From offering guidance and encouragement to being a listening ear when it’s needed most, our counselors truly go above and beyond to ensure our students feel supported, valued, and heard. Our school is a better place because of you!
