Genoa Graduation Requirements:

  • In order to graduate from Genoa Area High School students must meet all requirements established by the State of Ohio Board of Education and the Genoa Area Board of Education.
  • Each student in the class of 2006 must pass all 5 parts of the 9th grade proficiency test to graduate. Any student graduating after 2006 must pass the 5 parts to the Ohio Graduation Test to graduate. The OGT will be given to the class of 2007 in the spring of their Sophomore Year.
  • The five parts of each test include Writing, Reading, Mathematics, Citizenship/Social Studies, and Science. These tests are given in March and October of each year. An additional opportunity to pass the test is offered each summer.
  • Students are required to carry at least 6 classes. It is recommended that Freshman should have one study hall each semester.
