A.L.I.C.E Meeting January 9th
This is Dennis Mock, Genoa Area Local School Superintendent. There is no way anyone can explain the tragedy that took place in Newtown, Conn.
I am calling you this evening to update you on our district Crisis Emergency plan. Our Administrators, teachers, students and support staff were trained in the A.L.I.C.E. emergency program in the fall.
An initial parent meeting was held in October. The Administrators this morning and local law enforcement we feel that it is important to have a second informational meeting to explain in detail the emergency program termed A.L.I.C.E. This meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 9th in the HS auditorium at 7:00 PM.

The Administration wants to assure you that we are doing our best to keep our building's safe for your child. Lastly, please keep the families of Newtown, Conn. in your thoughts and prayers during the holiday season and this trying and emotional time.
