The Genoa Comets are members of the Northern Buckeye Conference (NBC) for athletic competition along with seven other districts from Ottawa and Wood counties.

The Genoa Area Local School District values the use of a blended learning environment to personalize the educational experience for our students.  Student-centered instruction, technology integration, collaboration, innovation, and creativity is the focus for developing 21st century learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers, and life long learners. The district currently supports a 2:1 ratio of technology devices for grades K - 8 and a 1:1 ratio for students in grades 9 - 12.

The Genoa Area Scholarship Foundation is proud to support Genoa seniors in their future endeavors. In 2017, a total of 62 scholarships were awarded to 37 seniors through the Foundation, totaling over $790,000 and continue to grow.
